Our Story
Danny and Jordan met in 2011 at Colorado State University after being assigned to the same floor in Durward Hall’s Leadership Development Community. Their leadership credentials may not have stacked up against everyone else’s, but what they did have was a natural ability to connect, care deeply, and show up for the people and things that mattered to them. In the end, that’s what led them to each other.
Jordan joined the university newspaper and pressed for time, needed someone to interview, so she interviewed Danny. Not long after, she needed a partner for an article on the ballroom dancing club, and once again, Danny stepped in. What started as convenience quickly turned into something more as the two began spending more time together.
Between movies, concerts, and many dubstep shows at the Aggie, their friendship grew into a relationship. When Danny returned to Florida, they stayed close, keeping in touch while giving each other the space to figure life out. But the connection never faded.
After graduating in 2015, Jordan moved to Jacksonville, Florida—partly to pursue law, and partly to see if there was still something there. There was.
From that point on, they’ve built a life together. Growing through school, careers, and everything in between. Along the way, they’ve traveled to different countries, brought their families together, and created a life that feels fully shared.
Most recently, they made their way back to Colorado, where Jordan is from and where they originally met, settling in with their dogs, Ella and Aspen, and enjoying life close to the mountains.
